The Pakleds have found something they should never have touched.

Sent to recover the mysterious Janus Core, the USS Resolute is caught in a catastrophic subspace event when the device activates. As reality tears open around them, the crew are pulled through the Janus Gate and into the unknown.

Mission Summary

The USS Resolute departs Starbase 421 on a seemingly straightforward assignment: investigate unusual Pakled activity involving a mysterious device known as the Janus Core. What begins as a containment and recovery mission quickly turns dangerous when the Core proves far more unstable than anyone expected.

As the Pakleds attempt to use technology they do not understand, local space begins to distort. The Resolute races to prevent disaster, but the Janus Core reaches critical activation, tearing open a violent subspace rupture.

The mission ends with the Resolute caught in the event and pulled through the tear, leaving everything familiar behind.
