| Personal History | Sasha was born in 2369 in a small town on the planet Trill to Beran and Saheer. Beran Noon, a joined Trill, worked at the Symbiont Institution helping find suitable hosts for symbionts; something he was quite good at and enjoyed doing. Saheer Rey was also joined and worked at the Institute helping those who were having a difficult time during the joining process. Sasha was the only child born to the couple which afforded her more quality time with her parents when they were at home. She did well in her schooling keenly aware of the Trill tradition of joining with a symbiont since both her parents were joined. At the age of thirteen Sasha felt something stirring inside of her and it had nothing to do with being Trill. Sasha wanted more in her life than being on her planet….the place she really wanted to be was among the stars. Upon confiding in a family friend about her hopes and dreams an opportunity presented itself. The family friend owned her own freighter business and offered Sasha training in her non school time on how to be a pilot. That was all it took and Sasha was hopelessly hooked on being in space flying. At the age of eighteen Sasha informed her parents she wanted to apply to Starfleet Academy to pursue a career as a pilot flying those incredible starships. After a little persuasion her parents agreed and sent her off with their blessing. In 2387 Sasha became a cadet at the Academy majoring in Flight Control. The first two months were a little daunting with the fast paced life of a cadet. As she started making friends she settled into a routine studying, often with her friends, giving her the support she needed to be successful. As the four years rolled on by Sasha found herself able to make friends easily while excelling in her studies and practical flying exercises. As the four years were concluding she was a solid pilot accredited for piloting starships…..but her life was about to change forever. Sasha’s father had a symbiont who needed a new host. After reading over Zen’s life history he knew who would be the perfect fit…..Sasha. Contacting her just before graduation Sasha agreed to come back to Trill for the joining. The symbiont Zen was originally named Zendaya and was a Flight Control Officer for Starfleet her entire career. Upon retiring she would move back to Trill to live out her final years in piece and quiet. Upon her death it was determined she possessed the special trait needed to become a symbiont. When Sasha returned the two were joined as the process began. At first it seemed strange to Sasha having another being in her head and memories of events past that were not hers. As the two began to meld into one being Zen started sharing more and more of her past and especially as a pilot on a starship. Most of Zen’s many past lives were with hosts who worked in the civilian sector. Realizing Sasha had just graduated from the Academy as a Flight Control Officer would make Zen’s next life exciting. She had longed for a pilot as a host for so many years. Sasha returned to Starfleet in 2392 where she served on the USS Diplomat for the next four years with the rank of Crewman 3rd Class. In 2396 Sasha was at helm, beta shift, when a hostile vessel come out of nowhere. Giving the order by the C.O. for evasive maneuvers, she managed to move the ship in such a fashion to avoid phaser fire while allowing tactical to fire and cripple the hostile. Her C.O. was quite impressed so much so she was promoted to the rank of Ensign. From 2396 to 2401 Sasha transferred to the Dauntless maintaining her rank of Ensign. After five years she was encouraged to apply for the position of Flight Control Officer aboard the Resolute due to her attention to detail and her continued dedication to duty. |
