Personality & Traits

General Overview Vren'desh is generally a distrusting individual and as such has become wary of those around him. He prefers keeping himself at a distance until he gets to know someone. (indirectly insulting the company he's in according to the Klingon culture), quietly observing the situations, analyzing and paying close attention to the behaviors of those around him.

Vren'desh will voice his own opinion or step forward with a given task where he sees he should. Masked mostly with a serious expression and armed with a formidable reputation, the Klingon gives off an unapproachable demeanor - especially to those faint of heart. However, once he gets comfortable with those around him, he becomes the most loyal of friends.

Personal History Vren'desh was born on Q'Onos in the Earth year of 2362. His father was a prestigious military commander of the House Rukas. His mother was a farmer and housewife. He was the middle child and as such got the brunt of his parent's ire when they were angry. Vren'desh's older brother was the warrior that dad always wanted where Vren'desh was average in the ways of combat. Vren'desh's younger sister is the apple of her father's eye, and her mother's ideal Klingon woman. Fierce, talented and smart what more could a mother ask for.

So Vren'desh took a relaxed approach to his life, the way he saw it if he had to be the wrong one, might as well have a reason to be wrong. His parents made sure that he attended school and the warrior academy. It was here that Vren'desh's fascination with the Klingon culture actually sparked. He learned that your family is not just your parents and siblings etc. It is every Klingon and in that thought his entire outlook reversed. Vren'desh son of Rukas became a model Klingon.

Most of Vren'desh's family wanted him to join the KDF like his brother before him. However, he did not want to be around Klingons. He had become distrustful of Klingons and most other people due to the internal strife in the Klingon Empire. Vren'desh felt that everything that made a Klingon, a Klingon should be shared with the world so in 2380 he applied for entrance into Starfleet Academy on Earth. To his surprise his father Rukas came around and supported the idea of joining Starfleet. By this time most Klingons had viewed humans as honorable allies, and warrior worthy of Sto'Vo'Kor.

In September of 2380 Vren'desh arrived on Earth to begin his first year Cadet training. His roommate was a short Bolian named Braxx. When they first met they both disliked each other. Vren'desh found Braxx to be too outgoing and the reverse of that was true for Braxx. However by the end of the first year they got along famously. They spent many nights exchanging stories. Ultimately This is what Vren'desh craved the knowledge of other beings.

Due to his training on the homeworld Vren'desh was fast tracked into the Security and Tactical program at the Academy. During the next three years at Starfleet Academy Vren'desh would come to specialize in hand to hand combat, and find that he has a head for strategy. In May of 2383 Vren'desh graduated the Academy in the upper part of his class. He was granted the rank of Ensign and sent to his first assignment Security Officer aboard the USS Tomahawk.

Upon arrival aboard the Tomahawk Vren'desh met a man named Harold Spector who was the CSTO. Harold would come to mentor the young Starfleet Officer. Teaching the Klingon to find balance between the distrustful reserved demeanor that Vren'desh had and being a friendly approachable person. Harold and Vren'desh became the closest of friends to the point that Vren'desh was the best man at Harold's wedding.

In September of 2385 fate would step in for Vren'desh again. It seemed on the eve of a large scientific conference Harold fell ill with the Iruddian Flu. The conference which was occurring between Romulan and Federation scientists was being held aboard the Nebula Class Tomahawk. Vren'desh took charge while Harold lay in Sick Bay, because of his leadership and planning the event went off without a hitch. Vren'desh received a promotion to the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade for his hard work and meritorious service. A few months later in January of 2386 Vren'desh was ordered to transfer to the USS John Adams as the Assistant Chief Security/Tactical Officer.

The next three years passed and were standard as starship life went. Vren'desh stayed in touch with Harold and made new friends of his own. However, at this point in his life he was ashamed of one thing. In his outlook it seemed that his career had stalled out. There were no new prospects of where to proceed.

In 2389 Vren'desh was given a promotion to full Lieutenant for meritorious service. It is at this time that he is also given the position of Chief Security/Tactical Officer for the USS John Adams. During the next three years Vren'desh's eyes opened. Before this time he had wanted to lead Starfleet Security. Now he wants to become the Captain of a starship. Vren'desh had found his calling, using the way of the warrior to protect and strategize as opposed to advance in territory or prestige.

In 2392 Starfleet orders Vren'desh to transfer to the USS Gorkon and report to Captain Koda Roo for duty as the Chief Security/Tactical Officer. He had heard of the reputation of this scientific vessel, looked forward to seeing the beauty that is the galaxy.

Two years later Vren'desh was promoted to Lieutenant Commander and made the Executive Officer of the Gorkon. This glory would be short stayed as two years later he is transferred to the Klingon Embassy on Earth. His task there is to liaise with the Klingon High Council. There he toils to keep the strenuous peace with his people.

In 2399 Vren'desh wanted to get back into space and requested a transfer. This transfer would be granted, and he would be given a promotion for all of the hard work his had done at the Embassy. Vren'desh would also be give a promotion to the rank of Commander. The USS Resolute was in need of an Executive Officer, and those were Vren'desh's orders. This new assignment could bring new glory and the next step toward his goal.
