2390 Timeline: The Offering

January–April 2390 — The Offering Proclaimed

• As rebellion spreads across the Alpha Quadrant, Prime announces The Offering, a mandatory annual observance meant to remind occupied worlds of Dominion authority.
• On the anniversary of the Culling, 200 individuals are randomly selected from Dominion-occupied worlds and forcibly relocated to serve Dominion labour, construction, administrative, or military support projects.
• Dominion propaganda frames The Offering as mercy, claiming 200 lives are a “reasonable price” compared with the 900 million killed during the Culling.
• The announcement sparks outrage across Earth, Betazed, Andoria, Tellar, Bajor, and Vulcan, with protests, riots, sabotage, and renewed underground recruitment.
• The Lantern Network, Fenris Rangers, Betazoid underground, and Klingon dissidents broadcast counter-messages condemning The Offering as slavery disguised as order.
• On Bajor, the recent wormhole disturbances and rumours of Sisko’s possible survival make Dominion attempts to enforce The Offering especially volatile.

May–December 2390 — Dominion Crackdown

• Resistance activity escalates after the first Offering, though many cells go deeper underground to avoid mass reprisals.
• Prime places Earth, Andoria, Tellar, Vulcan, and Bajor under harsher martial restrictions, giving Vorta administrators wider powers of arrest, execution, and population control.
• The DPI expands loyalty inspections, using Protectors, Investigators, and Readers to identify suspected Lantern sympathisers and resistance families.
• The Lantern Network strengthens extraction routes for those marked by The Offering, moving some victims through Ferengi smugglers, Fenris Ranger corridors, and old Maquis channels.
• Kira and Odo help Bajoran cells avoid open confrontation where possible, fearing Prime will use religious unrest as an excuse for another purge.
