January–May 2385 — The Romulan Gambit

• The DPI intercepts the invitation, triggering a furious response from the Alpha Quadrant Founders, who fear being bypassed and replaced.
• A Dominion delegation is assembled to negotiate Romulus’s submission, including at least one Founder, senior Vorta, and a large Jem’Hadar escort fleet.
